Who it's for

No school nearby

Get real instruction from a qualified Sifu wherever you live, instead of piecing it together from videos.

Busy schedules

Train at times that fit your week. No fixed class times, no commute.

Practical self-defense

Wing Chun relies on structure and position, not size. Good for beginners and all ages.

Other styles and lineages

Clean up your forms, solve specific problems, or add Wing Chun principles to what you already train.

How it works

1. Book

Pick a time and pay online. Your Zoom link arrives by email.

2. Set up

A device on a stand, about 6×6 ft of space, comfortable clothes. No partner or wooden dummy needed to start.

3. Train live

Warm-up, review, new material, and live corrections on camera, with time for your questions.

4. Practice

Leave with a written practice plan. Record your session and send short practice videos for feedback.

Honest note: Wing Chun is a contact art, and skills like chi sau are best felt in person. Online lessons build a strong foundation in forms, structure, footwork and drills.

About Sifu Dennis Moreland

Ip Man → Ip Ching → Chris Damiano → Dennis Moreland

Dennis started martial arts in 1982 at age eight. In 2008 he began training under Sifu Chris Damiano, a direct student of Ip Ching, and he remains a faithful student of Sifu Damiano, continuing to train and learn privately.

In March 2011, Dennis opened West County Wing Chun in Valley Park, Missouri, and has grown a large following through group and private lessons, with a focus on friendship, family, adult learning, and a love of the art.

I have been a student of Dennis Moreland for a decade now, and he is one of the best martial arts [instructors] I’ve ever had the privilege of working with. I’ve been studying martial arts for 30 years, and he’s hands down one of the best teachers out there. He is personable, practical, and has real skills to offer no matter where you are in your martial arts journey.

I've trained with Sifu Dennis Moreland for 17 years, and he is the most versatile, understanding teacher. His background in Wing Chun, Judo, Kenpo, kickboxing and Kali gives everything he teaches real, practical application for self-defense. He weaves those arts, along with his experience in military and police training, into the curriculum, all while teaching true Ip Man Wing Chun.

Dennis has been training in martial arts for over 40 years, and when you train with him, you can truly tell. He trained personally with Ip Ching for years in Hong Kong, regularly returns to China, where Ving Tsun began, and hosts seminars with some of the best students of the Ip Ching lineage. He is well respected, well connected, world-renowned, and a true force to be reckoned with.

Above all, he cares about each student's development. He teaches kids' classes and women's self-defense, and whether he's working with professional fighters, students, kids or women, he meets every person where they are and helps them reach their self-defense goals.

I owe my confidence in any situation to Sifu Dennis Moreland.
